KATHMANDU: The drama ‘Samay Ko Pida’ is being staged at Ojas Theatre in Ratopul.

Sundar Dhital conceived and directed the performance, which began last Wednesday.

Kalashi Production House Pvt. Ltd. presents a theatrical adaption of writer Padyavati Singh’s story ‘Samay Ko Pida’.

The drama depicts the agony of Nepalese parents who are left alone when their children leave for work overseas and do not return.

As time passes, the age increases.

Their progeny will diminish in number as they age.

The drama delivers the point that this concerns not only society, but the entire country.

The drama features Vishal Devkota (Ramanath), Sangeeta Thapa (Anandi), Arjun Dulal (elder son), Anjasa Rijal (daughter-in-law), Unnat Upreti (younger son), Sagun Pokharel (daughter), Rohit Shrestha (son-in-law), Purna Gandharva (friend), Naveen Pyakurel (servant), Kapildev Kafle (shopkeeper) and Bipin Jaiswal (doctor) playing the characters.
