KATHMANDU: The staging of the Tamang-themed play ‘Masinya’ has begun. The drama ‘Masinya’ is now being shown in Thapagaon’s Mandala Theatre.

The drama depicts the exploitation and oppression of Tamang culture, customs, language, and so on by society’s upper strata and governmental authority in an excellent manner.

The drama depicts the upper classes’ attitudes toward individuals who are enjoying their own life struggles, bending down even in the face of pain.

And how long should the Tamang community be subjected to machine laws that are being altered, such as state-imposed penalties for valuing the soil, civilization, and culture? The play ‘Masinya’ is a compilation of sufferings centered on such concerns.

Overall, Tamang society, which exists in its own unique art, culture, and tradition, is targeted for persecution by the authoritarian political structure shown in the drama.

The drama ‘Masinya’, written by Lakshmi Rumba, Raju Syangtan, and Rabat, has been produced on a regular basis since Magh 11 (Jan 25).

Conceptualised and directed by Buddhi Tamang and Sonam Lama, the play stars Vishnu Moktan, Sheetal Thokar Tamang, Shulabh Pandey, Ramila Moktan, Ajay Lama, Sanumaya Tamang, Nirmal Saud, Sachin Ratna, Ravin Dong, Rupesh Lama, Sunil Tamang, Prashant Waiba, Bikash Lama. , starring Vijay Nepal and Ingihopo Kainich Sunuwar.

The play will be staged at Mandla Natakghar, Thapagaon every day except Monday at 5 pm till Magh 28 (Feb 11).

On Saturday, an additional show will be staged at 2 pm.
