PM Modi announces solar roof-top scheme for 1 crore houses

KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced plans to install rooftop solar panels in 1 crore households across the country.

This scheme is intended to provide solar energy to households in India.

According to Modi, this scheme will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class but will also make India independent in the energy sector.
