KATHMANDU: Karnali beat Koshi in the Prime Minister’s Cup ODI men’s cricket event held in the capital.

Karnali beat Koshi State by six wickets in today’s match at Mulpani Upper Cricket Ground.

Along with this, Karnali, who won for the third time, has six points after six games.

Koshi State is scoreless after seven games. Karnali accomplished Koshi’s aim of 152 runs, losing four wickets in 28.3 overs.

Arjun Gharti of Karnali struck an undefeated 50 from 48 balls, with six fours and two sixes. Similarly, Bipin Shahi scored 28 runs, Himangshu Shahi 24 undefeated runs, Nischal Rawal 21 runs, and skipper Ravindra Shahi 12.

Hemanta Rai took three wickets and Kamal Khatri took one wicket for Koshi.

Koshi, who lost the toss and was invited to bat first, scored 151 runs in 34.3 overs losing all wickets.

For him, Sujan Thapaliya scored 73 runs in 73 balls with the help of eight fours and four sixes. Saujan Ghimire scored 12 runs and Aaish Bhattarai scored 11 runs.

Dinesh Adhikari took four wickets for Karnali, while Prakash Jaisi took three wickets and Dewan Pun took two wickets.
