KATHMANDU: Two people died in a bus accident in Dang.

Last night, a passenger bus bearing the number State 3 01005 Kha 9719 traveling from Bardiya to Kathmandu was involved in an accident at Lamahi Municipality 9 Rihar.

The accident killed 36-year-old Bhimnath Yogi and Yuvraj Chaudhary, both of whom lived in Geruwa Rural Municipality-1, according to Amilia Area Police Inspector Lal Bahadur Shrestha.

There were 47 people on the bus; two were hurt, and the rest are safe. The bus driver, who received minor injuries, is receiving treatment in Kohalpur.

The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Lamahi Hospital.

According to the police, the accident took place due to the broken strap of the bus.
