KATHMANDU: Nepal’s highest peak, Mount Everest, has been incorrectly portrayed as India’s in an episode of the Indian television serial ‘Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye’ broadcast on Zee TV.

In this recent episode, Everest, belonging to Nepal, is falsely depicted as India’s.

During a trivia quiz scene, an old actor in the serial asks another, “What is the name of the highest mountain peak in India?” The male actor incorrectly responds with ‘Mount Everest,’ leading to applause from other actors.

Viewers on YouTube are urging corrections, emphasizing Everest’s location in Nepal, with some calling on the Nepalese government to address the matter.
