Measles cases detected in Jhapa
He shared that seven measles cases were recorded in two weeks in the district - six cases in Jhapa Rural Municipality and one in Birtamode Municipality.
JHAPA: Cases of measles have been detected in two out of 15 local levels in Jhapa district.
Immunization Officer at the District Health Office, Jhapa, Raj Kumar Pokharel, said cases of measles were detected in Jhapa Rural Municipality and Birtamode Municipality.
He shared that seven measles cases were recorded in two weeks in the district – six cases in Jhapa Rural Municipality and one in Birtamode Municipality.
Three members of a single family were also found infected with measles in course of conducting blood test ar Sharanamati health post.
Similarly, a five-year-old girl of Birtamode Municipality-3 was found suffering from measles.
The measles was confirmed on the girl in course of blood test at Birtamode Municipal Hospital who was brought to the hospital two days ago for treatment.
The girl has now been kept in isolation.
