Bharatpur prepares for visit year 2024 with enhanced tourist infrastructure
With the addition of dozens of homestays, the city now has accommodation facilities with approximately 200 beds in popular tourist destinations such as Meghauli Golaghat, Patihani Jagatpur, and others.
KATHMANDU: The residents of Bharatpur are gearing up to offer a warm welcome to domestic and international tourists during Bharatpur Visit Year 2024.
They have increased the construction of tourist infrastructure, including homestays and jeep safaris, to accommodate and entertain visitors.
With the addition of dozens of homestays, the city now has accommodation facilities with approximately 200 beds in popular tourist destinations such as Meghauli Golaghat, Patihani Jagatpur, and others.
Local residents are ready to provide authentic local food, including millet and buckwheat, horse gram, and colocasia (pidalu) vegetables.
Jeep safari services have also been expanded to meet the anticipated demand during the visit year, with a threefold increase in the number of safari vehicles.
The city aims to host 7,000 tourists daily, with specific arrangements for jungle safaris and plans to attract 200,000 foreign tourists and 500,000 domestic tourists in 2024.
Special attractions, such as a tiger cage in Bharatpur 6 Devnagar displaying rescued tigers from Chitwan National Park, add to the city’s appeal for tourists seeking unique experiences.
