KATHMANDU: Janamat Party has said that it has support for the ruling coalition in places other than the candidates it nominated in the National Assembly elections.

Dr. CK Raut, chair of the Janamat Party, issued an appeal today, urging him to vote for Ramshankar Mahaseth in Madhesh and Bal Gobinda Chaudhary Tharu in Lumbini.

Aside from that, he stated that the party will continue to support the Maoist Centre-led power alliance’s candidates in other areas. However, there are no public opinion voters in the areas except from the candidates.

Prime Minister Prachanda repeatedly requested that Raut, the chair of the Janamat Party, which is part of the ruling coalition, withdraw his nomination for a National Assembly seat.

However, President Raut has denied that request.

He was also demanding to get at least one seat because he was in the alliance.

There was no consensus on giving a seat to the Janamat.

Following that, Janamat raised its candidates in Madhesh State and Lumbini State.
