KABUL: A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the office of provincial governor of the west Afghanistan’s Nimroz province on Sunday, the local television channel Tolonews reported.

Quoting provincial police spokesman Gul Mohammad Qudrat, the private media outlet reported that the suicide attacker detonated the explosive device after he was identified by security forces in the governor office premises Sunday afternoon.

There was no report on possible casualties so far.

This is the fourth blast in the war-torn Afghanistan over the past nine days, three of them in the national capital Kabul city.

Earlier three blasts have shocked Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on different days, claiming at least 10 lives. The Islamic State outfit claimed responsibility for a blast in a mini-bus that left five dead and 15 others injured.
