Chirayu National Hospital’s free eye check-up & retinopathy camp, serving over 200 individuals
According to the hospital, the camp, led by prominent ophthalmologist Dr. Sanyam Bajimai, provided free eye examinations as well as diabetes knowledge and counseling.
KATHMANDU: Chirayu National Hospital in Bashundhara, Kathmandu, held a free eye checkup and retinopathy camp.
Over 200 individuals participated in the free camp on Saturday.
According to the hospital, the camp, led by prominent ophthalmologist Dr. Sanyam Bajimai, provided free eye examinations as well as diabetes knowledge and counseling.
During the camp, Dr. Samyam Bajimai discussed the current situation of diabetes, its impact on the eyes, and how to avoid it.
Approximately 200 people received free counseling throughout the camp, which ran from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Along with this, the hospital’s business development officer, Basanta Khanal, said that the ophthalmology service at Chirayu Hospital will be extended using contemporary technology under the direction of senior ophthalmologist Dr. Samyam.
He stated that due to the rapidly rising number of diabetic patients, the hospital has established a specialized Chirayu diabetic Center, which is led by distinguished diabetologist Dr. Ajay Pradhan.
