Election of the new board of directors along with the 5th AGM of Muktinath Krishi Company

KATHMANDU: The 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Muktinath Krishi Company was held at Yeti Events and Conference Center Kathmandu on Poush 25 (Jan 10).

In the program attended by the founders and general shareholders, the company’s chair, Bharatraj Dhakal, presented the board of directors’ report for the year 2079/2080 as well as the action plan for the coming years, while the secretary of Muktinath Agriculture Company, Ramsharan Timalsina, discussed the strategic actions of Vision 85.

The company’s fifth annual general meeting saw the election of a new board of directors.

The new directors were unanimously elected as Bharatraj Dhakal, Sitaram Kafle, and Tulsiram Dhakal from the founder’s side, Gobinda Bahadur Raut from Muktinath Bikas Bank, and Chiranjeevi Aryal from the general public.

Mr. Sitaram Kafle was also elected president during the elected directors’ meeting on Poush 26 (Jan 11).

Similarly, Mr. Bharatraj Dhakal was selected as the managing director for a 4-year tenure from that meeting.

Muktinath with Farmers and Muktinath with Consumers Campaign is Nepal’s first public limited company in the agricultural sector, founded by people from various business sectors in Nepal with the goal of improving the country’s agricultural economy by playing a managerial role in the overall agricultural value chain.

A month ago, the business issued publicly traded shares.

This firm, which has been working on many projects related to agricultural production, productivity improvement, and customer welfare, has provided over 450 goods and services required for agricultural production.

The firm has focused on cooperative-based agricultural resource centers in order to establish institutional agricultural structures that will benefit the agricultural sector as a whole.
