KATHMANDU: Rohit Kumar Paudel, the national cricket team’s captain, has quit the departmental club Tribhuvan Army.

Tribhuvan Army Club cricket coach Chandra Sawad announced Rohit’s departure a few days earlier.

Rohit will now play professional cricket for another departmental team, the Armed Police Force (APF).

For the past few years, he has participated in Army Club events.

Rohit served in the APF prior to entering the Army.

In 2018, he represented APF and won the Prime Minister’s Cup, a national cricket event.
