Bomjan to be present in Sarlahi court today
Bomjan was arrested by the CIB from his residence Hattigaunda on Tuesday on charges of sexual misconduct and murder.

KATHMANDU: The suspected ascetic Ram Bahadur Bomjan, who was detained in Kathmandu on Wednesday, has been sent to Sarlahi. Bomjan, who was detained on allegations of murder and rape, was transported to Sarlahi around 1.30 p.m.
He was hauled there after a complaint was filed against him in Sarlahi. Today, the police are ready to present him before Sarlahi district court and seek authorization to detain him in detention. Yesterday, the Nepal Police Department made public the significant sum of cash confiscated from Bomjan and his apartment.
Bomjan was arrested by the CIB from his residence Hattigaunda on Tuesday on charges of sexual misconduct and murder. The police were investigating Bomjan on the charge of sexually assaulting and killing a girl. Dinesh Acharya, SP of CIB informed that investigation is going on as more people have been reported missing from his ashram.
According to Acharya, 29-year-old Chinimaya Tamang, known as Chunmo, 51-year-old Sanchalal Waiba, Pulmaya Rumba, known as Dolmo, and Suresh Kumar Ale Bomjan have been reported missing from the ashram. The police say that they are Bomjan’s followers. Bamjan used to move the ashram to different places.
Acharya informed that Chinimaya, Sanchalal and Phulmaya had gone missing from Bondegaon in Sindhupalchok. Bomjan had built an ashram in a place called Todke located in Indrawati Rural Municipality-6 of Sindhupalchowk a few years ago. At the same time, the police say that those followers disappeared.
In the press conference, 3 crore 34 lakh 67 thousand 906 cash from different 17 countries including Nepalese Rupees was made public.
SP Acharya informed that three crore three lakh 75 thousand five hundred rupees and currency of 17 countries including US dollar, Euro, Australian dollar were recovered from Bamjan’s residence. The seized foreign currency is worth 3392 thousand 406 rupees.
Similarly, 14 mobile phones, 20 pay drives and five iPads have been seized. The CIB has also seized the vehicle and motorcycle in which Ram Bahadur was riding.
Those vehicles and motorcycles are in the names of different people. Bamjan, who claims to be an ascetic, is living a luxurious life.
