Ward chair of Bhimdutta dies in road accident

KATHMANDU: The Ward president of Bhimdatta Municipality-6 Mahendra Khadka has been found dead.

Also spokesperson of the Municipality, Khadka may have died in a motorcycle accident on the road at Aithpur of Bhimdatta-6 last night, said Superintendent of Police Kamal Thapa of District Police Office Kanchanpur.

Preliminary investigation shows that Khadka has died in a road accident involving a motorcycle (Ma 1 Pa 4852), but further investigation into it is underway.

Meanwhile, Mayor Bhimdatta Municipality Padam Bogati has been informed about the incident.

Ward Chair Khadka is reported to have attended a public hearing held at the Municipality on Wednesday afternoon.
