RPP’s Amber Bahadur Bista elected as speaker of Koshi

KATHMANDU: RPP’s Amber Bahadur Bista has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of Koshi State.

In the State Assembly meeting held on Tuesday, the Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Srijana Danuwar, announced that Bista was elected unopposed.

Bista was the only person nominated for Speaker.

UML also backed Bista after the power alliance agreed to hand over the speakership to the RPP.

The RPP has elected Bista, a proportional member of parliament, as speaker.
