7 Palestinians, Israeli officer killed in West Bank

KATHMANDU: Seven Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike in the occupied West Bank on Sunday. An Israeli police officer was also killed in the attack.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the seven victims, including four brothers, were civilians from the village of Muthalath ash-Shuhada in the Jenin region of the northern West Bank.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military has released footage of the drone strike, saying at least six of those killed were terrorists.

The Israeli army raided Jenin overnight between Saturday and Sunday and clashed with local youth.

Since the Israel-Hamas conflict began on Oct 7, violence has escalated in the West Bank.
