KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has concluded his two-day visit to Nepal, during which he actively participated in the seventh meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission at the ministerial level.

Upon his return to New Delhi on Friday afternoon, Jaishankar engaged in high-level political discussions, including meetings with President Ramchandra Poudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Sher Bahadur Deuba of the Nepali Congress, KP Sharma Oli of the Nepal Communist Party, Madhav Nepal of the Unified Socialist Party, and Upendra Yadav of the Janata Samajbadi Party.

During his visit, Jaishankar also made significant contributions to Indo-Nepal bilateral ties, signing four agreements, including a long-term agreement on electricity trade.

Before departing, he paid his respects at the Pashupatinath Temple and inaugurated the Central Library at Tribhuvan University.
