KATHMANDU: Two people were killed in police firing during a demonstration by youths after they could not take the Employment Permit System (EPS) exam to go to Korea.

During Friday’s protest in Balkumari, Lalitpur, two individuals, Sujan Rawat from Dailekh and Birendra Sah from Doti, lost their lives due to police firing, as reported by Kuber Kadayat, spokesperson of Nepal Police.

The demonstrators, expressing their grievances, blocked the road and set vehicles ablaze.
