Case registered against senior advocate Surendra Bhandari

KATHMANDU: A case has been registered against senior advocate Dr. Surendra Bhandari for domestic violence against his wife.

Janaki Pandey, Bhandari’s wife, has filed a complaint against him at the Kathmandu District Court.

Bhandari has been accused in the case with domestic assault, as well as financial and emotional abuse against his wife.

Mrs. Pandey has also filed a petition to keep the marriage registration since Bhandari refused to register the marriage. According to the Kathmandu District Court, the case’s first hearing is planned for Thursday.

Bhandari married Janaki Pandey in Magh 2074, although the marriage had not yet been recorded.

Pandey threatened her wife when she asked for marriage registration.
