KATHMANDU: The former Nepal Police Superintendent has been apprehended in Dhangadhi.

The police have arrested former SP Madan Dhami.

According to police sources, Dhami was arrested at the police station in Trinagar, Dhangadhi, and transported to the District Police Office in Kailali via the Ward Police Office Dhangadhi vehicle.

It is believed that he was detained for engaging in illegal actions as a former police officer and spreading misinformation against the police.

DSP Kuldeep Chand of the District Police Office Kailali verified Dhami’s arrest.

Dhami, on the other hand, has accused Ramesh Khadka, the Chief of Police at Trinagar Police Station, of assaulting him.

According to the source, a medical examination was also performed on Dhami, who claimed to have been hurt.
