NA Elections: 7 polling stations & 14 polling centers designated
This arrangement aims to facilitate the voting process for various categories of voters, ensuring a smooth electoral procedure.
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has designated polling stations and polling centers for the National Assembly (NA) elections to be held on Magh 11 (Jan 25).
According to Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the spokesperson of the commission, a total of 7 polling stations and 14 polling stations have been designated in each state with one polling station and two polling stations in the same polling station.
This arrangement aims to facilitate the voting process for various categories of voters, ensuring a smooth electoral procedure.
According to the Election Commission’s declaration, the assigned polling centers are as listed:
State Election Office, Biratnagar – Koshi State
Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Mithila Cultural Center, Janakpurdam – Madhesh State
Shree Bhutandevi Secondary School (Technical Building Block F), Hetauda – Bagmati State
State Election Office, Pokhara – Gandaki State
Karmachari Milan Kendra, Gohari – Lumbini State
State Election Office, Surkhet – Karnali State
State Assembly Building, Dhangadi – Sudurpaschim State
Issuing a press release today, EC Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel mentioned that separate polling booths have been determined in the voting station for State Assembly members and chairperson, vice-chairperson of rural municipalities, and the mayor and deputy mayor of municipalities to cast their votes.
