KATHMANDU: Six judges have been appointed to the Supreme Court.

President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed them on Wednesday.

According to the President’s Office announcement, they were appointed with the consent of the Parliamentary Special Hearing Committee.

The announcement states that they were appointed in line with Article 2 of Article 129 of the Nepalese Constitution.

Saranga Subedi, Abdul Ajiz Muslim, Mahesh Sharma Paudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Sunil Kumar Pokharel, and Balkrishna Dhakal have been named.

After the judicial council suggested their names, a parliamentary hearing was held, and they were accepted on Wednesday.
