KATHMANDU: Two soldiers were injured in a missile attack by the Israeli army in Damascus, the capital of Syria on Sunday night, according to the Syrian army.
The attack was launched from the direction of the Syrian Golan Heights.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor, said two unidentified people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the residential area of Masakin al-Dimas and military sites in the Qudsaya suburb northwest of Damascus.
Israeli missiles also targeted military positions belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah militant group near the Saida Zeinab area, south of Damascus.
The attack is the latest in a string of Israeli targeting of military sites in Syria, particularly those suspected of housing pro-Iran militias, mainly the Lebanese Hezbollah group.
