Election symbols allocated to political parties for NA elections (with list)
For the 12 parties registered by the EC, the election symbol has been assigned based on the votes received for the proportional election system in the 2079 House of Representatives election.

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has assigned election symbols to political parties for the upcoming National Assembly elections.
For the 12 parties registered by the EC, the election symbol has been assigned based on the votes received for the proportional election system in the 2079 House of Representatives election.
In a press release issued by spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the election symbols have been designated according to the votes received in the 2079 Representative Assembly elections.
The symbol of the UML’s is the sun, followed by the Nepali Congress with the tree as its symbol.
The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has been given the hammer and sickle within a circle, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has got the plough as its election symbol.
Following this, the symbols are allocated as follows: JSP’s umbrella, Janmaat Party’s loud speaker, CPN Unified Samajwadi’s pen, Nagarik Unmukti Party’s dhakiya, LSP’s bicycle, NWPP’s madal, Janamorcha’s glass and one open eye of Nepal Samajwadi Party.
The National Assembly elections will be held on Magh 11 (Jan 25).
