Election symbols allocated to parties for NA member elections today

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission will provide election insignia to political parties today in preparation for the National Assembly member elections on March 11 (Jan 25).
By Friday, the last day for party registration, 12 parties had filed applications.
Surya Prasad Aryal, the Commission’s Assistant Spokesperson, stated that registered parties will be awarded election emblems.
According to the commission’s agenda, when the election emblems are delivered to the parties, the list of registrants will be forwarded for publishing in the gazette on Poush 4 (Dec 20).
From Falgun 20 (March 3), 20 seats in the National Assembly are becoming vacant.
On Magh 11 (Jan 25), elections will be conducted for 19 positions. The President will nominate in one post.
