KATHMANDU: In a celebration uniting creative souls from around the world, Nepal Delphic Council proudly marked the 29th foundation day of the esteemed International Delphic Council.

The National Delphic Council Nepal, a vibrant chapter within this global cultural movement, enthusiastically participated in a virtual event convened to honor this significant milestone.

Gathering representatives from nearly 100 nations, the event, held on a recent Friday afternoon, showcased the collaborative spirit of a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and elevating art and culture on a global scale.

The Delphic Council, a passionate advocate for diverse art forms including Films, Musical Arts, Performing Arts, Language Arts, Visual Arts, and more, stands as a beacon across 150 countries. With its roots firmly embedded in Nepal for the past two years, the nation has played host to a series of prestigious national and international cultural gatherings.

Post-event reflections from Sridev B.L, the President of Nepal Chapter, illuminated the organization’s mission—to nurture and safeguard Nepal’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. Biel articulated, ‘Our mission is to spotlight Nepali art, literature, and creative expressions on the world stage. Through promoting values of creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange, we aspire to amplify and propagate these invaluable treasures globally.’

Vice President Jiwan Parajuli said the sentiment, underscoring Nepal’s integral role within the expansive network of the International Delphic Council. ‘This global network provides a fertile ground for Nepali artists and culture to flourish on international platforms. It facilitates a broader canvas to showcase their talents and cultural legacy. Moreover, it fosters invaluable exchanges, allowing diverse artistic communities to share ideas and experiences’, Parajuli said.

The Nepali contingent, led by esteemed figures including Sridev Biel, Jeevan Parajuli, Surya Bahadur Raskoti, Sarada Khadka Aryal, and Deepak Bista Gowli, represented Nepal in this momentous foundation day program.

Honorary members of Nepal Chapar, luminaries such as Mohan Niraula, Rabindra Khadka, Gopal Kayastha, Sunil Katuwal, Kisan Pokharel, Madhav Prasad Tiwari, among others, also graced the event with their esteemed presence.
