Weather Forecast: partial influence of western wind in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, has reported the current partial influence of the western wind in Nepal.

Currently, mountainous areas, including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, experience clear weather, while other regions may experience some fog in Terai.

According to the department’s forecast, the upcoming weather is expected to be generally clear in the hilly areas of the country, covering Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, with a possibility of light snowfall in certain high hills and Himalayan areas of Karnali and Gandaki States.

Tonight, there is a likelihood of light snowfall in specific high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi State, accompanied by partial rain in the hilly areas.

As temperatures decrease nationwide, the department urges everyone to take precautions to mitigate the effects of the changing weather.
