KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has undergone a major administrative reshuffle, with 16 Chief District Officers (CDO) and one Director General being transferred.

Additionally, 8 joint secretaries have been appointed to various posts.

The decision, made by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha on Friday, reflects the government’s strategic reassignment of key roles.

Among the notable changes, Home Ministry Joint Secretary Prem Prasad Bhattarai has been assigned to Morang, while Anand Kafle, another joint secretary, assumes the position of secretary in Palpa.

Jhak Prasad Acharya, the Director General of the National Identity Card and Registration Department, has been appointed as the Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchok.

Furthermore, Jaya Narayan Acharya has been transferred to Sunsari from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Mahadev has been reassigned from the Panth Ministry to the Criminal Assets Management Department
