NEA to cut power supply in various Kathmandu areas for substation upgrade
The electricity supply interruption is scheduled from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday.

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced a temporary cessation of power supply in various locations across Kathmandu on Saturday.
According to NEA, this interruption is necessary as they initiate an upgrade of the transformer with a capacity of 45 MVA at the Teku substation.
The areas affected by this power outage include the Health Service Department premises, Bhimsensthan, Ramghat, Maruhiti, Dhokatol, Kshetrapati Chowk, Dhalko, Bramhatol, Jaisedeval Chowk, and several others.
Notably, power cuts will extend to Jabahal, Chikumangal, Jhose, Ombhal, Bhotebhal, Yangal, Lagan, Bouddha, Bhotahiti, Asan, Bangemudha, Indrachowk, Sundhara, Central Jail, Rangshala Front, New Road, Basantapur Durbar Square, Rabi Bhawan, Soalteemode, Sunargaon, Army Hospital, Nakhkhu Chowk, Bagdol, Dhobidhara, Malpokhari, Dhobighat, and others.
The electricity supply interruption is scheduled from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
NEA has expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused to consumers and provided advance notice through an official notice today.
