Fatal collision claims 5 lives & injures 10 in accident in Pakistan’s Punjab

KATHMANDU: In a devastating incident in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province Bahawalpur district on Wednesday night, a collision between a passenger van and a truck resulted in five fatalities and 10 injuries, according to rescue teams.

The van driver lost control while attempting to avoid a rickshaw that unexpectedly appeared on the road, colliding with an approaching vehicle.

Passengers and the van’s driver were among those killed.

Individuals who were injured were quickly transferred to a local hospital, with many said to be in severe condition.
