’20th Handicraft Trade Fair-2080′ begins today (photos)

KATHMANDU: The “Handicraft Trade Fair and Handicraft-2080” has begun under the auspices of the Nepal Handicraft Federation.

From Thursday, Dec 14, the expo will be held at the Annapurna Hotel complex on Durbar Marg in Kathmandu for five days.

The handicraft fair is in its 20th year, while the handicraft competition is in its 18th year. The fair will take place from December 14 to Dec 18, 2023.

Every year, the federation organizes this fair with the goal of increasing the domestic and worldwide markets for Nepali handcraft items, as well as encouraging export commerce by exposing the products.

The aim of the fair is to develop business relations between indigenous entrepreneurs and foreign handicraft importers and to help in marketing by gathering handicraft importers and consumers at one place.

There are around 125 stalls of handicraft items in the fair.
