Person arrested for killing neighbor in Baitadi

KATHMANDU: The police have arrested 29-year-old Tej Bahadur Chand on the charge of murdering 56-year-old Harina Bista of Sunarya Rural Municipality-3 Bijul.

A 29-year-old Tej Bahadur Chand, who lives in the same place, was arrested by the police on Tuesday afternoon.

The police team deputed from District Police Office Baitadi, District Police Office Patan, and Temporary Police Post Satbanj apprehended Chand as soon as they heard that Harina Bista died on the scene after Chand struck her head with an iron rod.

He was discovered hiding inside his home.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
