Activist Ihi: Standing for 108 minutes in Lalitpur Metropolitan

In response to Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation's decision not to allow commerce on footpaths in the morning and evening, activist Ihi: sought reconsideration and declared that if the decision is not modified, he will stand in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation for 108 minutes.

KATHMANDU: Previously, activist Ihi., who stood in front of the National Hall for 199 hours against the Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s refusal to allow stores on the pavement, is now planning to oppose the Lalitpur Metropolitan City’s decision.

In response to Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation’s decision not to allow commerce on footpaths in the morning and evening, activist Ihi: sought reconsideration and declared that if the decision is not modified, he will stand in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation for 108 minutes.

Urging them not to dream, he wrote on Facebook on Monday, “Everyone has appreciated Yal (Lalitpur) efforts that the city is not only for people with cars but for everyone.” He went on to say, “The decision to remove the footpath area at night and morning is killing the soul of the city.” It is vital to reconsider.’

He said that he will stand in front of the Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality for 108 minutes from 3 o’clock on Tuesday and wrote, “Take taxes, do it and give it to eat”, “Not displacement, do management”.
