Blood donation held to mark 17th Parliament Service Day
The event was jointly organised by House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker, Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly (NA) Chairperson, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, and Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumers Welfare Committee President, Abdul Khan.
KATHMANDU: A blood donation programme was held on the premises of the Singha Durbar-based Federal Parliament Secretariat on the occasion of the 17th Parliament Service Day.
The event was jointly organised by House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker, Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly (NA) Chairperson, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, and Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumers Welfare Committee President, Abdul Khan.
They handed a blood bag to Secretariat under-secretary Sanjay Dahal, who donated blood for the 50th time today, marking the inauguration of the blood donation organised by the Federal Parliament Service Day Main Celebration Committee.
Mangsir 28 each year in the Nepali calendar is observed as the Parliament Service Day, commemorating the day when the Parliament Service was separately recognized within the Civil Service.
Around 300 employees serve under the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
