Saudi prince dies in plane crash

KATHMANDU: Saudi Arabia prince was killed in a ship disaster during a military practice.

Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud died at the age of 62.

According to reports in the international media, he died during a military exercise of the Saudi Arabian army.

The death has also been confirmed by the Saudi palace.

He served as Saudi intelligence head from 2002 to 2012 and is the grandson of Saudi Arabia’s first monarch, Abdul Aziz.

Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz was the son of Prince Bandar and the grandson of the first Saudi monarch, King Abdulaziz.

Born in 1961, he was a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Air Force and served as assistant intelligence chief at the GIP, the Saudi intelligence agency, from 2004 to 2012.
