KATHMANDU: Nepal has been invited to bat first after losing the toss against Pakistan in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.
After winning the toss at ICC Academy Oval-2 in Dubai, Pakistan captain Saad Baig decided to bowl first and invited Nepal to bat.
Being in the top two, they must defeat Pakistan in today’s encounter to advance to the semi-finals. If they lose today, they must win both of the remaining games. That is why Nepal wishes to play the finest cricket possible.
Nepal is in Group A at the U-19 Asia Cup, together with India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Nepal will play Afghanistan on Dec 10 and India on Dec 12.
Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka, and the UAE are in Group B of the U-19 Asia Cup, which will feature eight countries.
The top two countries in each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The semi-final match of the U-19 Asia Cup will be place on December 15, while the final match will be held on Dec 17.
