KATHMANDU: Those who visit to the Pashupatinath temple grounds on Balachaturdashi to sow seven grains (also known as Satbeej) must observe 13 regulations.

The Pashupati Area Development Fund issued a notification on Friday notifying devotees of the regulations to be observed.

This year Balachaturdashi festival falls on Mangsir 25 (Dec 11).

It is usual to stay awake all night with lights on the previous day in commemoration of their dads, and to sow Shatbees early the next morning.

Pashupati Area Development Trust has arranged free tents for devotees who light lamps in memory of their ancestors.

Arrangements have also been made for those who are unable to attend and light the lights by paying a fee of Rs 2,100 to the fund. Such devotees should contact the sales room of the Pashupati Area Development Fund located at the outer gate of the Pashupati temple on the west side.
