3 dead in train accident in Indonesia’s Lampung

JAKARTA: Three people were killed after the car they were traveling in was hit by a local train in Indonesia’s Lampung.

North Lampung Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Teddy Rachesna, said the sedan continued to cross the road when the train passed on Tuesday night, even though an officer had given them a warning.

“The sedan was dragged hundreds of meters and all the passengers in the car died, including the driver,” said Rachesna on Wednesday.

The victims were identified as workers on an oil palm plantation, according to the police chief.
