Around 7 kg of gold recovered from New Road, investigation on Pandey

KATHMANDU: The police recovered about 7 kg of gold from New Road.
Padam Prasad Pandey, 41, of Kailali and Nagarjuna, was detained along with the gold by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office team.
Pandey owns a gold smelting factory on New Road.
During the industrial raid, that quantity of gold was found. The gold extortion work has begun, according to SP Rabindra Regmi of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, following Pandey’s detention.

According to police sources, the anticipated amount of gold is 7 kg, which will be established after the extraction procedure is done.
According to the authorities, part of the seized gold was found in the form of biscuits, while others were found in the form of trinkets. An investigation is now ongoing, according to the police.
