AGENCY: India’s main ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the elections in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and the western state of Rajasthan, according to preliminary polls.

As the counting of votes continues, the latest statistics released by the Election Commission of India show that the BJP has won 166 out of 230 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh, 56 out of 90 constituencies in Chhattisgarh and 115 out of 199 constituencies in Rajasthan.
