Taplejung accident: Driver dies

KATHMANDU: One person died in a road accident in Sirijangha Rural Municipality-8 Yamphudin of Taplejung.

Nishan Limbu, a 30-year-old driver from Phungling Municipality-5, perished in the accident last night, according to Police Inspector and Information Officer Kamal Lungeli of District Police Office Taplejung.

According to him, an accident occurred while the Bolero (State 1-01-001 Ja 3437) vehicle was on its way to Chebuk from Bhote village in Yamphudin.

Limbu, the driver of the same vehicle, died on the scene, according to Police Inspector Lungeli.

The driver is claimed to have been crushed by the vehicle when it lost control, hit the road wall, and overturned.
