Low pressure area & westerly winds bring rain to various regions of Nepal, snowfall in some areas

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrometeorology, Weather Forecasting Division has said that the low pressure area around Uttar Pradesh of India and partial influence of westerly winds are currently affecting the country.
According to the department, it is raining in several regions of the country this morning. Sporadic to light rain is raining in one or two spots in the mountainous parts of Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki, and Karnali States. It is snowing in some regions.
Today’s weather will be clear in the mountainous districts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Koshi State in the afternoon.
According to the department, there is a chance of light rain in one or two locations in the country’s high hills and mountainous areas, as well as light snowfall in one or two locations.
