KATHMANDU: India has won the T-20 series against Australia by 4-1. India, who won the series one match earlier, defeated Australia by 6 runs in the last match and won 4-1.

Australia was lost by 6 runs after failing to score 10 runs in the final over of the series’ final match.

India won the series by winning the first, second, and fourth games after Australia won the third.

In the previous match on Sunday, Australia failed to meet India’s medium target of 161 runs.

Australian skipper Matthew Wade played two ball dot in the last over. On Arshdeep Singh’s third ball, he was caught by Shreyas Iyer. He scored 22 runs on 15 pitches.

After captain Wade got out, Australia was reduced to 154 runs for the loss of eight wickets after failing to score 10 runs in the last three balls. Australian Ben McDermott contributed 54 runs, but it was not enough for victory.

Mukesh Kumar of India got three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi each took two to end Australia’s innings.

India batted first after Australia won the toss and decided to field, scoring 160 runs for the lost of eight wickets. Shreyas Iyer scored 51 runs for India in his half-century.
