Judge’s opinion about Bal Krishna Khand divided, to be submitted to the third judge

KATHMANDU: Judges Janak Pandey and Prakash Kharel disagreed on whether former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, who was detained in the matter of false Bhutanese refugees, should be released on bail or kept in prison.

Judge Pandey of the Patan High Court granted his release on a 3 million bail, but Judge Kharel disagreed and ordered that he be detained in prison.

This disagreement will now be decided by the third judge’s bench.

Khan will remain in custody until further orders.
