34-year-old man held for raping a minor

KATHMANDU: Police arrested 34-year-old Jagat Mani Acharya, a resident of Mechinagar Municipality-6 Burmeli Tolle on the charge of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Based on the complaint that Acharya raped the girl in his own house on Mangsir 8 (Nov 24), the district police stationed at Kakarbhitta arrested him.

After further investigation, Jagat Mani’s brother, 37-year-old Bal Kumar Acharya, has been taken under police control for allegedly enticing and luring the victim after revealing the incident to them.

The police are investigating further in this regard.
