Weather Update: Partially cloudy skies expected in hilly regions, light rain & snowfall possible in some areas

KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the influence of western winds.

The weather is typically clear throughout the remainder of the nation, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division, while the mountainous portions of the country are partially overcast.

In the afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy to normal in hilly sections of Nepal, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States, and partly cloudy to clear in the rest of the nation.

Light rain is possible in a few places in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and the mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim State.

Furthermore, there is a chance of light precipitation in a few locations of the country’s highlands and Himalayas.

At night, it will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, and the weather will be generally clear in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of light snowfall in a couple of places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki States.

There is a possibility of light rain in a couple of places in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim States.

Besides, there is a possibility of light snowfall in a couple of places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of the country.

Therefore, the department has requested to take necessary precautions to avoid the effects of rain, snowfall and temperature drop across the country.
