KATHMANDU: Koshi State won the consolation in the KP Oli Cup T-20 cricket tournament.

Koshi defeated Madan Bhandari Sports Academy ‘Blue’ by 9 wickets in the Group ‘D’ match at Pokhara Statdium today, Wednesday.

Koshi met the usual target of 68 runs given by Madan Bhandari ‘Blue’ by losing 1 wicket in 7 overs and 4 balls. Sonu Ansari of Koshi scored 35 runs not out. On the bowling side, Shubham Khanal of Madan Bhandari ‘Blue’ took 1 wicket.

Madan Bhandari ‘Blue’, who lost the toss and was invited to bat earlier, was all out for 67 runs in 17 overs and 5 balls. Arjun Rayamajhi of Madan Bhandari ‘Blue’ scored the highest 24 runs. In terms of bowling, Koshi’s Shravan Yadav took 3 wickets and Firdesh Ansari and Kamal Khatri took 2 wickets each.

The KP Oli Cup T-20 cricket tournament’s semifinals have been already concluded. Bagmati State (Group ‘A’), APF Club of Armed Police Force (Group ‘B’), Madhesh State (Group ‘C’), and the Army (Group ‘D’) have all advanced to the semi-finals.

The semi-final game will take place tomorrow, Thursday. Bagmati and Army will meet in the first semi-final, while Madhesh and APF will meet in the second. The last game will take place on Friday.
