KATHMANDU: Three Nepalis who joined the Russian army have died.

They were killed during the conflict with Ukraine, according to the Nepali Embassy in Moscow.

Pritam Karki of Syangja Putali Bazar, Rajkumar Roka of Dolakha Melung, and Gangaraj Moktan of Ilam were among those killed. They died on Kartik 29 (Nov 15), according to the embassy.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Moscow, the news of their deaths was received by telegraph from a Russian army official.

Following the information received, the embassy informed the Nepalese consul of their death.
