Urlabari fire incident: Another victim dies, death toll rises to five

KATHMANDU: The death toll in the fire in Urlabari Municipality-7 of Morang has reached 5.
Ramnaresh Marita, 43, who was injured in the Urlabari Municipality-7 fire, died on Monday night during treatment.
The incident occurred on Kartik 26 (Nov 12) during the night of Laxmi Puja, where 28 individuals were injured while attempting to control the blaze.
Marita, a native of Dhanusha Janaknandidi Rural Municipality and present resident of Urlabari-7, died around 11:30 p.m., according to Morang police spokesperson DSP Ranjan Kumar Daha.
Rukum Bahadur Karki, 68, of Urlabari 7, 49-year-old Hemkumar Dahal, 42-year-old Kumar Tamang, and 43-year-old Tapan Pandit are among the badly injured.
Four police officers and 24 residents were wounded while attempting to extinguish a fire that broke out at the Sneha gold and silver business owned by local Deepak Karki at 10:30 p.m. on the night of Laxmi Puja.
